The Deletaille Gallery is pleased to announce their participation in the upcoming Egmont Art Days. From June 3th to 6th, we invite you to delve into Mesoamerican extraordinary artistry, into the symbolism and iconography of ancient civilizations. From the Olmec to the Maya, be drawn into a dialogue with the past where things are not quite what they seem… Where remarkable objects, used within ritual and ceremonial contexts centuries ago continue to amaze us with their beauty and technical proficiency. We invite you to come and be delighted with this show of artworks, the eyewitnesses to a previous moment in time.

Like Gulliver navigating the whimsical landscapes of Lilliput and Brobdingnag, reminding us of the inherent value of curiosity and exploration in shaping our understanding of the world, find yourselves immersed in a realm where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur with ambiguity, where artifacts serve as portals to alternate worlds, where gods walk among mortals and legends come to life in stone, clay and precious metals.

Du 3 au 6 juin 2025, nous vous invitons à plonger dans l'art extraordinaire de la Mésoamérique, le symbolisme et l'iconographie des anciennes civilisations. Des Olmèques aux Mayas, laissez-vous entraîner dans un dialogue avec le passé où les choses ne sont pas tout à fait ce qu'elles semblent être... Où des objets remarquables, utilisés dans des contextes rituels et cérémoniels il y a des siècles, continuent de nous étonner par leur beauté et leur maîtrise technique.

Deletaille Gallery kondigt met genoegen haar deelname aan de Egmont Art Days aan. Van 3 tot en met 6 juni 2025, nodigen wij u uit om ondergedompeld te worden in de buitengewone kunst van Meso-Amerika, in de symboliek en iconografie van oude beschavingen. Van de Olmeken tot de Maya’s: laat u meevoeren in een dialoog met het verleden, waar niets is wat het lijkt... Waar opmerkelijke objecten, ooit gebruikt in rituele en ceremoniële contexten, ons vandaag nog steeds verbazen door hun schoonheid en technische verfijning. Wij nodigen u uit om te komen genieten van deze tentoonstelling van kunstwerken – stille getuigen van lang vervlogen tijden.

Zoals Gulliver die door de wonderlijke landschappen van Lilliput en Brobdingnag reist en ons herinnert aan de intrinsieke waarde van nieuwsgierigheid en ontdekking in het vormen van ons wereldbeeld, vindt u zichzelf terug in een wereld waar de grenzen tussen realiteit en verbeelding vervagen.
